Creative Whithorn Arts and Crafts Trail will be running once again over the weekend of July 22-23.
Planning and preparation for the Trail is now underway and all artists and makers in the region are invited to a Social Evening at the Whithorn Trust Visitor Centre between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Thursday February 23.
The social evening will be an opportunity to chat and network with Creative Whithorn members and for anyone – whether artists or not – to learn more about this thriving local art community.
2017 will be the fifth year for the Art and Craft Trail and local artists and makers will once again be exhibiting and demonstrating their work at venues throughout Whithorn. Each year, the Trail has seen increased visitor numbers and 2016 continued the trend with both days seeing more visitors than before.
Feedback from visitors to the 2016 Trail was also resoundingly positive, with people enjoying the wide range of different artwork and techniques on display.
The opportunity to see some exhibitors at work and to talk to all the artists and learn more about their work and inspiration was also highlighted as one of the Art and Craft Trail’s best features.
