Livin the Dream began when I and my family moved into a big ole house in Wigtownshire at the end of 2013.  The slower pace of life and the big ole house, despite needing huge amounts of work, gave me the time and space and the beauty of the area inspired me to be creative again.  Over the years I have tried my hand, with reasonable success, at a huge array of crafts and so far have only ever been defeated by knitting.  The wrath and criticism of a junior school teacher put me off for life.

My paintings are largely inspired by the beautiful countryside of Wigtownshire.  We have some killer sunrises and sunsets and I just can’t help myself but paint them.  Currently I am concentrating on painting in oils and on silk but am always willing to explore new avenues so don’t be surprised to see new things appearing regularly.

On my website you will also find my range of silk ties and bow ties, painted glass and handmade jewellery alongside my pebble creations which are very popular.  I am open to commissions and have designed many scarves and ties for individuals and their interests.

The most tricky of which were a combine harvester and Bobby Shafto being painted onto silk ties.  All of my works are unique pieces, however, it is possible that similar items can be made should you want a different colour scheme or an alteration in a design.  Please do contact me to discuss.
