For their latest exhibition down in Bladnoch, Unit Three Gallery is welcoming a young artist named Jenny Gravestam.

Originally from Sweden, Jenny is a painter inspired by music.

“I early on started to listen to Funk, Jazz, Soul and Disco. My feet started to move, and my fingers started to tickle and so it was I became a painter.”

Jenny’s work is mainly abstract, using colour and texture to convey both emotion and movement. Most of the work on show at Unit Three Gallery are images of the sea including “Sailing Soul” where Jenny has drawn out of the landscape fabulous colour and texture and “True Happiness” which immerses the viewer in a glorious pool of richness.

The exhibition is called Seascapes and runs from Wednesday (21st) until March 19. Unit Three Gallery is situated by the banks on the River Bladnoch, across the bridge from Bladnoch Distillery in buildings originally used as the Bladnoch Creamery, entry is free – please see the website www.unit3gallery.co.uk or call 07470 457175 for more details.
