A competition is being run for a Summer Exhibition in association with the RSPB reserve at the Crook of Baldoon, Bladnoch.

The entire exhibition between July and September at Unit Three Gallery in Bladnoch will have a wildlife theme and will highlight the work done at the reserve and the wildlife and countryside of the Machars.

As part of the exhibition,  an art competition has been launched with entrants asked to produce a piece of work that best represents the “Crook of Baldoon”.

The subject matter can be the landscape and/or the wildlife found in it and is open to any form of art media including mixed media and sculpture.

All competitors should be amateur artists, (please see terms and conditions). There will be two categories – persons under 16 years of age and persons aged 16 and over.

There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter the competition. Closing date for entry will be Monday July 3.

The prizes are as follows: £25 worth of art materials for under 16’s category and £75 worth of art materials for the aged 16 and over category and have been generously donated by the RSPB.

The winning entries in both categories will be exhibited in the Summer Exhibition at Unit Three Gallery.
