Bilge pumps, full waterproofs, umbrellas and wellies on a Friday in August can only mean one thing, it must be a festival in Scotland in late Summer.
The work started early this morning in Agnew Park in Stranraer as the RNLI Crew, committee and Council workers strive to get the field ready for tonight’s launch of the Fifth annual Young Guns night and Seventh Park Fest Main day tomorrow. The forecast (if you can believe them) says it’s to clear to throughout the day with light showers over the next 24- 48 hrs , this we can deal with. The inside of the tent is dry and the stage is set, disco ball included, for what looks to be another fantastic festival in aid of the RNLI.
Youngs Guns headliner Scope looks to showcase his new music to his home crowd after successful performances at T in the Park and YouthBeatz.
Event Headliner X Factor 2014 Winner Ben Haenow has caused quite a stir with fans flocking from all over the UK to this corner of South West Scotland to see him perform, just a quick look at the world of social media and the excitement flying around twitter with his Haeniacs show that the Park Fest crowds are in for a treat.
For somewhere dry and warm to hide from the elements you would be hard pressed to find better entertainment this weekend.
